Mr. Cooper joined the Gladstone Companies at their inception in June 2001 and operates out of our corporate headquarters in McLean, VA. He currently is a Senior Managing Director of Gladstone Commercial Corporation where he is responsible for identifying, underwriting, managing, and servicing much of the firm’s commercial real estate investment projects with a portfolio of approximately $500 million. He is focused on sourcing and executing net leased real estate acquisitions and sale leaseback investments in the Southeast and Texas. Mr. Cooper has over 30 years of experience sourcing acquisitions, underwriting, negotiating and executing lending and commercial transactions and executing asset management plans. Mr. Cooper is a member of the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP).
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cooper served as a Senior Vice President or Principal of Allied Capital Corporation and its affiliate funds from 1986 to 2000. At Allied Capital, Mr. Cooper was responsible for originating all forms of commercial real estate loans and servicing a portfolio of over $300 million in debt instruments and mortgages. During his career, he has negotiated and closed all types of commercial real estate transactions and debt instruments. Mr. Cooper received a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Washington and Lee University.
Mr. Tucker joined the Gladstone Companies in May 2005. He is a Managing Director of Gladstone Commercial Corporation in our McLean, VA headquarters focused on sourcing and executing net leased real estate acquisitions and sale leaseback investments in the Northeast and Midwest US as well as overseeing our portfolio in the Northeast and Midwest regions. Mr. Tucker has extensive experience in real estate investing, real estate asset management, real estate finance, corporate private equity and leveraged finance. Mr. Tucker is a member of the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP) and participates as a member of the NAIOP Industrial Development VI Forum.
Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Tucker held investment and advisory positions with Liquid Realty Partners, a real estate private equity secondaries firm, SG Capital Partners, a corporate private equity and venture capital fund, and Chase Securities in the High Yield Finance group. Mr. Tucker earned his MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan Business School as a member of the Beta Gamma Delta honors society and holds an AB in Psychology from Princeton University.
Mr. White joined the Gladstone Companies in August of 2013. He currently serves as Managing Director of Gladstone Commercial Corporation in the Los Angeles office focused on real estate investment opportunities in the Western U.S. Mr. White has over 25 years of commercial real estate investment experience. During his career, he has negotiated and closed over $3.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions and has extensive principal investing and asset management experience that includes direct equity investments, JV partnerships and distressed debt.
Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. White held senior positions with MetLife Real Estate Investments, ING Realty Partners, Equus Capital Partners and MIG Real Estate. While at MetLife he was responsible for asset management, acquisitions and dispositions. As a Senior Vice President with ING, he was responsible for value-added and opportunistic investments in the Western US. He has structured, acquired and managed investments in all property types throughout the Western U.S. including repositioning, redevelopment and construction projects with a major focus on office and industrial investments. He recently ran the West Coast office for Philadelphia-based Equus as the company’s Senior Vice President and western regional manager and was head of office and industrial acquisitions and management for MIG.
Mr. White earned his MBA with a concentration in finance and real estate from the University of California and his bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He is a licensed real estate broker in California, holds the CCIM professional designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and is a member of the National Investment Management Forum with NAIOP.
Mr. Flickinger joined the Gladstone Companies in April 2011 as an Associate. He currently serves as Director of Operations of Gladstone Commercial Corporation and is focused on acquisitions, asset management and leading operations management for us. Prior to joining us, Mr. Flickinger was a Vice President in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Real Estate Investment Banking group from 2006 to 2011 where he was responsible for identifying, underwriting, managing, financing and servicing all forms of capital for commercial real estate investment. Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Flickinger was a Senior Analyst in Cushman & Wakefield’s Transaction Consulting Group providing occupancy and investment strategies for the firm’s owner and occupier clients. Mr. Flickinger earned an MBA from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration and a BBA from James Madison University.
Mr. Engle joined Gladstone in May 2016 as an Associate. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Engle worked as an Analyst with Fortress Investment Group focused on senior housing acquisitions. Prior to this, Mr. Engle worked as an Analyst for Bank of America where he underwrote corporate and commercial real estate debt. Mr. Engle earned a BBA in Finance focused in Real Estate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011.
Mr. Scott joined Gladstone in November 2016 as a Senior Analyst. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Scott worked for Vornado/Charles E. Smith, holding several positions in their Management Services department before becoming a Financial Analyst on the Acquisitions team. Mr. Scott earned an MPS from Georgetown University in Real Estate with a focus on Finance, and received a BA from Villanova University.
Mr. Blake joined Gladstone in September 2016 as an Analyst. Prior to joining Gladstone, Mr. Blake worked as an analyst with Wells Fargo Bank where he underwrote senior debt facilities for middle market commercial clients. Mr. Blake earned a BBA in Finance from the College of William & Mary in 2014.
